Description

Well here it is, finally finished.

This has been the most fun yet frustrating piece I've ever done. I made more work of it than I had to simply because I sometimes never know when to just leave certain parts alone and so end up reworking and reworking parts over and over again.

I averaged 3 hours a night, 5 days a week for about 4 weeks to do this although I think next time I do anything like this I'll be quicker.

I'm fairly happy with it :icondweebdanceplz: although I feel I should have done more with the surface that the objects stand on and the surface actually looks quite messy. I may go back and do something with it someday but for now it's time to move on to my next piece.

As always, not the best scan.

I used graphite pencils: 2B - 8B

Putty eraser

Blending stumps, tissue, ear buds.

Edit: Added my own Watermark as the DA one is highly intrusive.

Also, to anyone who comments, faves or whatever, I will try my best to respond and thank you all individually but it's not always possible. Please don't be offended as every comment, good or bad and every fave is highly appreciated.

Thanks for viewing.

Wow! You got a great return for your sixty hour investment.

I like this close cropped composition with the design elements filling the page. You have created a nice space for these objects, and surroundings of a room as indicated in the reflections of the bracelet. I like the contrast between the wood grain and the metal objects.

Your proportions and foreshortening look spot on.

You have a beautiful range of values here, with plenty of contrast. Very strong technique on display here in your use of value changes to show the planes and contours of the objects.

On the chimney of the lighter the light values around the air holes is a great added touch.

It's a sterling piece of work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
