Description

Finally and at long last, I'm calling this finished.

I'm happy with it on the whole, especially the metal end and the filament but due to some issues with parts of the paper developing a weird texture, I'm not happy with the main section of the bulb area but it was kind of out of my hands.

Anyway, not sure how many hours it took in total but I'd guess maybe 80 ish.

I'd like to give a huge thanks to :icontheminx: for giving me permission to draw from their reference photo.

I love how the light source of this picture really helps to capture the intricacies of the details, casts the subtle shadow of the bulb on the surface on which it sits and creates great contrast on the with the highlights and shadows on the filament and metal parts in particular. It's also great how the lightbulb is the theme of the picture but the lightsource comes from something else.

this is a great masterpiece, overall, i think its quite brilliant!, you really captured the metal part of the lightbulb, the lighting, shade, glass, all in measure, however, (thank you for your honesty) i absolutely agree that the bottom part of the main construction is a bit off, a little blurry and unreal compare to the rest of the picture, but since it took me 5 good looks to notice it and technically it isn't your mistake (technically because saying its the papers fault sounds, off) i'd say, overall an excellent piece of shading art, keep going with the good work!!!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
