At last!! Finally completed and boy am I glad. Actually, despite this being a huge hurdle for me at times, I feel the hard work has paid off. Okay, so it's not perfect (slight blotchy areas due to overblending etc) but it's certainly the best I could have done.
I'm massively proud of this piece and I definitely feel I gave it all the love and attention that the reference photo demanded.
Many people commented on how her iris's seemed too small and the whites of her eys too white in the WIP's leading up to the finished piece and so hopefully I've adjusted them enough to get it right......finally. Let me know what you think.
Massive thanks has to go to who gave me permission to use her stock image as reference. The reference photo had everything I needed for my first real portrait attempt. The contrast and subtlety of the lighting, together with quite challenging hair, out of focus areas and the sheer beauty of the woman in this pic and her coy look is just perfect.
Materials:
2b - 8b solid graphite pencils
Electric eraser and putty eraser
Make-up remover pads for the blending
Bristol smooth board
I'll say thanks now to anyone who comments and/or fav's this piece as I don't have much time to reply to every comment these days o thanks in advance.

Certainly this is one of the best black and white drawings i've seen on da. The fact that u admit that there is something wrong with it makes this true art. And your shading skills are really good, the skin looks real enough and the eyes look like they could penetrate your soul. The hair is not bad either, it looks like the real thing.
Things u could improve maybe is the nose? 0.0 other than that i don't see big flaws with this piece, and believe me i like to look for mistakes >.> so this was done really well and i don't think i can say more even if i could lol, so work paid off indeed^^
